About this appAI proposal
Plainmark is a proposal for a privacy-first companion that sits beside the browser you already use on your phone. Share any page to it and it is saved, cleaned of tracking tags, and synced across your devices with end-to-end encryption. It does not replace your browser engine, so you keep whichever browser runs best on your battery.
It is built for people who juggle several browsers, or fall back to the default one because premium alternatives drain battery, have bugs or lack sync. Plainmark gives you one private place for tabs, bookmarks and reading, whichever browser opened them.
Saved pages open in a light reader view without scripts or ads, so heavy sites cost less power. Pages are encrypted on your device before they leave it.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Users share tracker-free links and reader-view pages with friends. Recipients open a clean page that carries a small Plainmark save link.
- Do they become customers?
- Recipients see the product but may not pay. Test whether a save link on shared pages brings sign-ups, and how many of those move to a paid plan.
- First customers
- Privacy-minded iPhone users who already pay for a privacy tool such as a paid search service and use two or more browsers.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News: Show HN post aimed at threads where users complain about browser battery drain and sync.
- Privacy communities: Offer early access in privacy-focused forums and subreddits, with a founder presence for feedback.
- First milestone
- Fifty free sign-ups from one community, and ten of them paying for Plus within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialUsers in the material want a full browser. A companion app may not satisfy them, so demand for this narrower product has to be tested.
- PlatformShare target and background sync support in PWAs differs by phone system, notably on iPhone, and may limit one-tap saving.
- TechnicalFetching and cleaning pages while keeping content encrypted is hard. Many sites block fetching or render only with scripts.
- DataLost encryption keys mean lost libraries. Recovery has to be designed without weakening the privacy promise.
- Intellectual propertySaving full copies of pages may raise copyright questions for some content.
