ScreensConcept
Desktop app: Data engineers spend long stretches setting up replication, reviewing schema changes, and monitoring dashboards—dense configuration and analytical work at the desk. Sample screens on a computer, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Rowstream captures every row-level change in your source database and delivers it to your data warehouse, aiming for under 60 seconds end to end. You connect a database, pick a warehouse, and choose tables. No sales call, no pipeline to assemble.
It is built for data engineers who have run in-house change data capture and know the edge cases: schema drift, backfills racing live changes, stream offset commits and oversized TOAST columns. Rowstream treats these as one coordinated system instead of parts bolted together.
AI agents and live analytics need fresh data, and stale tables undermine them. Rowstream shows lag per table so you can see whether the data is as fresh as you think.

- Why this name
- Two plain words joined: rows flowing as a steady stream. Easy to say and spell. A trademark check is still needed.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Row-level change capture
Every insert, update and delete is captured from the source database log and applied to the warehouse in order.
No member yet
Schema drift handling
New, renamed or retyped columns are detected and applied to the warehouse, with a review step for risky changes.
No member yet
Safe backfills
Initial loads and re-syncs run alongside live changes without overwriting newer rows.
No member yet
Large column support
Unchanged TOAST values are kept intact so updates do not blank out big text or JSON columns.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. It reaches customers through content on CDC edge cases, a free tier and direct outreach to data engineers. Its use is backend and not visible to other people.
- Do they become customers?
- Those reached are the buyers themselves. Test whether free-tier users with one database upgrade once their volume or database count grows.
- First customers
- Data engineers at startups of 10 to 100 staff running one Postgres database and one warehouse, who want fresh data for analytics or AI agents.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and engineering blogs: Publish posts on schema drift, backfill races and offset handling, linking to the free tier.
- Data engineering communities: Offer to set up pipelines for teams reporting stale warehouse data and collect feedback.
- First milestone
- Five teams on a paid plan with lag under 60 seconds for a month, from one narrow segment.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalUnder-60-second latency with correct ordering across schema changes, backfills and failures is hard. Claimed latency comes only from a public claim and must be proven on real workloads.
- CommercialTeams may already have a replication tool or an in-house pipeline. The material names no competitors, so demand for switching is untested.
- DataCustomers must give database log access and the product handles their row data, so security, trust and compliance reviews could slow adoption.
- PlatformSource and warehouse connectors need ongoing upkeep as database versions and warehouse APIs change.
- CommercialVolume-based pricing means warehouse write costs scale with usage. Free-tier users could cost more than they convert.
