About this appAI proposal
Keelway sits between your agentic development pipelines and the platform APIs they call. It records what each API returns, notices when a response shape or behavior changes, and tells your team before a pipeline run fails in the middle of the night.
It is built for teams that run agents on cloud platforms and spend four or five figures a year, yet learn about breaking changes from broken builds. Point your agents at a Keelway endpoint, keep your current provider, and get a written change log, version pins and a person who answers.
Keelway cannot stop a provider from changing its API. It makes changes visible, softens the ones it can with compatibility shims, and gives you a clear record when you need to escalate.

- Why this name
- A keel keeps a boat steady in rough water. Keelway is the steady path your agents take to the APIs they rely on.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Contract snapshots
Every call is compared with a saved snapshot of fields, types and status codes, so a silent change shows up as a plain diff.

Drift alerts
Get a message in Slack, email or a webhook when a response changes, ranked by how many of your pipelines it touches.

Version pins and shims
Pin a known-good contract and add small rewrite rules so agents keep working while you plan the real fix.

Replay before you upgrade
Re-run recorded agent calls against the new behavior and see which pipelines would break before you switch.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives one price point: GitHub Copilot's pricing page lists paid plans from $4 to $21 a month, plus a free plan. Keelway's tiers are a starting point to test against the 4-5 figure annual spend claimed.

Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Change reports and diffs are shared by link with teammates and with the provider's support, showing the Keelway name. Public drift pages for common endpoints could be linked from forum threads.
- Do they become customers?
- Readers of a shared report are often engineers on the same affected platform, so they could sign up. Test whether link opens turn into free sign-ups and then paid Team plans.
- First customers
- Platform or developer-experience leads at software companies of 20 to 200 engineers who run agent pipelines on one cloud provider and pay it four or five figures a year.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News threads: Answer posts about breaking changes with a free drift report on the endpoint in question.
- Developer communities: Offer free contract monitoring in agent-tooling Slack and Discord groups to find teams with live pain.
- Direct outreach: Message engineering leads who have publicly complained about outages or unresponsive support.
- First milestone
- Five teams pay for Team or Business within 60 days after a free drift-monitoring trial on their own pipelines.
Why people already pay for this
- Public claimTeams experience frequent, undocumented breaking changes to the platform
- Public claimSupport is unresponsive despite significant spending
- Public claimThere is emerging demand for VCS solutions designed specifically for agents
- Public claimTeams are actively building agentic development pipelines on cloud platforms
- Public claimCustomers are spending 4-5 figures annually on agentic platforms

RisksAI inference
- PlatformA provider could change terms, block proxied traffic or ship changes that no shim can hide, which limits what Keelway can promise.
- DataRecording agent calls means storing code and tokens. Redaction, retention and customer trust must be solid before teams route real traffic.
- CommercialThe demand evidence is public claims from one forum. Teams may prefer to switch provider rather than add a layer.
- TechnicalThe proxy adds latency and a new point of failure. If Keelway goes down, customers' pipelines stop unless a bypass is easy.
- CommercialSupport with a response clock is costly for a small team and hard to scale if early customers file many tickets.
