ScreensConcept
Desktop and mobile: Administrators build forms and analyze results at a desk, but respondents answer surveys offline on their phones in the field, with real use on both. Sample screens on a computer and a phone, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Fieldnote Surveys is a survey and feedback tool you deploy on your own infrastructure. Build forms, send links, collect answers and read results, with responses stored in a database you control. No per-seat subscription and no third party holding your customers' replies.
It is made for IT leads, research teams and operations managers in organisations with data residency, security or cost concerns about hosted survey tools. A managed hosting option is available for teams that would rather not run it themselves.
Respondents get a fast, installable web form that works on a phone and survives a dropped connection. Admins get roles, an audit log and exports in open formats, so leaving is as easy as arriving.

- Why this name
- A fieldnote is a record kept by the person who collected it. It suggests data that stays with its owner.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Deploy on your own server
One container and one database. Responses stay on infrastructure you run, in the region you choose.

PricingAI proposal
Typeform's verified pricing page lists paid plans from $25 to $379 a month. The material gives no other prices; these tiers undercut that range and are a starting point to test.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.
If it makes
Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Every survey link opens a respondent form that carries a small removable 'Made with Fieldnote' footer on the free tier. Respondents who run their own surveys can follow it to the project page.
- Do they become customers?
- Respondents are mostly customers or staff of the owner, not buyers. Test whether the footer link produces any installs by organisations that run surveys themselves.
- First customers
- IT or operations leads at European organisations of 50 to 500 staff, such as clinics, schools and local government bodies, that must keep survey data on their own servers.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and self-hosting forums: Publish the open core with a clear deploy guide and answer issues, since stars on survey projects show active interest.
- Direct outreach: Email IT leads in privacy-sensitive sectors with a free pilot install and a two-page data-flow summary.
- First milestone
- Five organisations in one sector run a live survey on their own servers, and two pay for Team licence or managed hosting.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialFree open-source survey tools already exist and the material shows steady interest in them. Buyers may take the free tier and never pay for add-ons or support.
- TechnicalSupporting installs on many customer environments raises support cost, and offline sync for responses needs careful conflict and duplicate handling.
- RegulatoryCustomers may expect compliance help such as consent wording and deletion requests. The product should provide tools, not promise legal compliance.
- PlatformThe shared stack assumes hosted services; a self-hosted build must work without them, which adds work to keep two deployments aligned.
