About this appAI proposal
Loftline is team chat for small technical teams who want to own their messages without running servers. It runs on serverless edge infrastructure in your own account, so there is no machine to patch or size. Channels, threads and file sharing work in the browser and install as an app.
Messages and files are encrypted before they are stored. A two-way Telegram bridge lets people who live there join a channel without a new account, so conversations stay in one place.
Your data stays in your account and cost follows usage. Setup is a guided deploy, not a server project.
- Tagline
- Chat that lives in your account, not on a server you have to run.

- Why this name
- A loft is a space you own above the street. A line is a message thread. Two plain words that suggest owned, simple conversation.

Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Guided deploy to your own account
Connect your serverless account and Loftline sets up chat, storage and database. No servers or containers to manage.

Realtime channels and threads
Live messages, threads, reactions and presence over persistent connections, installable on phone and desktop.

Encrypted messages and files
Content is encrypted before storage. Your workspace holds the keys, and an admin can rotate them.

PricingAI proposal
Tiers are a starting point to test. Slack's pricing page lists paid plans from €8.25 to €18 a month plus a free plan; Mattermost lists prices on request. Loftline sits below Slack since hosting is in the customer's account.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. Team members invite colleagues, and Telegram bridge users see a bot message naming Loftline with an invite link to join the channel natively.
- Do they become customers?
- Invited colleagues can become paying seats on the same workspace. Bridge users may only see it. Test how many bridge users accept an invite and how many teams upgrade past 5 users.
- First customers
- Engineering teams of 5 to 30 people at software startups that already run on a serverless platform and are paying for Slack or running a self-hosted chat.
- Where to reach them
- Open-source communities: Post a deploy walkthrough in the forums and chat groups where the evidence repository's users gather.
- Hacker News and dev blogs: Publish a cost comparison of a 20-person team's monthly bill against hosted chat plans.
- Telegram dev groups: Offer the bridge to groups that want a searchable team space alongside Telegram.
- First milestone
- Ten teams deploy Loftline, and five pay for Team within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalRealtime fan-out, message ordering and reconnects on serverless connections are hard to get right, and costs may rise sharply with busy channels.
- CommercialTeams may stay on Slack or Discord out of habit; the buyer must care enough about ownership or cost to move.
- PlatformThe product depends on one serverless provider's limits, pricing and terms, which may change.
- TechnicalEncrypting content makes search harder, and bridged Telegram messages pass through Telegram, which weakens the end-to-end claim.
- Intellectual propertyThe public open-source repository in the evidence may carry a licence or code overlap; the team must check it before reusing anything.
