About this appAI proposal
Pathkeep turns a rented Linux server into a private VPN you control. Paste one command, answer a few questions, and the server is installed, hardened and set up with traffic obfuscation, so it can work on networks that block ordinary VPN traffic.
You manage it from a phone-friendly web app: add a person, send a link or QR code, see who is connected, and remove access in one tap. No config files after the first install.
It is for individuals, families and small organisations who want their own VPN instead of a commercial service, but do not want to learn networking to keep it running. Paid tiers add the operational work: several servers, updates and alerts.

- Why this name
- A path is the route through a blocked network; keep is what you do with something you look after. Two plain words, easy to say.

Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
One-command install
Run one command on a fresh Linux server. Pathkeep installs the VPN, firewall rules and a small agent, then shows a link to finish setup.

Obfuscation presets
Pick a preset for your network: home, mobile or restricted. Pathkeep sets the obfuscation parameters and can re-roll them if a preset stops working.

Automatic hardening
Closes unused ports, enables key-only SSH and automatic security updates, then lists each change so you can review it.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. The owner invites family, friends or staff by link or QR code. Each invited person installs the client and sees Pathkeep's name on the invite page.
- Do they become customers?
- Invitees mostly use someone else's server and may not need their own. Test how many invitees go on to set up a server of their own.
- First customers
- Technical individuals and small NGOs or newsrooms in censored regions who already run, or want to run, a self-hosted VPN on a rented Linux server.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and open-source forums: Offer Pathkeep as a management layer for users of existing one-command VPN installers, with a guide and a free tier.
- Privacy and digital-rights communities: Give setup guides and free onboarding to small NGOs and activist groups; ask for feedback.
- First milestone
- Fifty free installs and ten paying users on the Personal tier within 90 days, from one region or community.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalObfuscation methods can stop working as censors change detection. Presets need frequent testing and updates, which is ongoing work.
- RegulatoryVPN use is restricted in some countries. Users may face legal risk, and app stores or payment providers may limit service there.
- CommercialThe audience is used to free open-source installers. Willingness to pay for management features is unproven.
- DataThe agent holds server access and client keys. A breach of the control plane would expose users, so keys should stay on the server.
- PlatformPayments through Stripe may be unavailable to users in censored regions, which limits who can pay.
