About this appAI proposal
Carryover reads the session history your AI coding agents keep on your machine and turns it into one searchable library. Conversations, tool calls, reasoning and file changes stay together, whichever agent produced them.
When you hit a usage limit or want a second opinion, pick a session and continue it in another agent. Carryover brings the full history rather than the last few messages, plus convention files such as CLAUDE.md and MEMORY.md.
Teams can share a session by link so a colleague builds on the research instead of repeating it. Local-first: sessions are converted on your device and leave it only when you choose to share them.

- Why this name
- Carryover says what happens: your context carries over from one agent to the next. It is one plain, pronounceable word.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
One library for every agent
Finds sessions from Claude Code, Codex and Cursor on your device and lists them in a single searchable view.

Full-history handoff
Continue a session in another agent with the whole conversation, not just the last ten messages.

Keeps every kind of context
Carries messages, tool calls, thinking and file modifications, and flags anything the target agent cannot hold.

Convention files travel too
Moves CLAUDE.md, MEMORY.md and similar project notes into the form the next agent expects.

PricingAI proposal
Based on Cursor's verified pricing page (free plan, paid plans from $20 to $40 a month), since buyers already pay in that range for agents. No other prices in the material; tiers are a starting point to test.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. A user shares a session link with a teammate. The recipient reads it in the browser and sees Carryover's name, with an option to continue it in their own agent.
- Do they become customers?
- Recipients are developers on the same team, so they can become paying seats. Test whether link viewers install the helper and join a team workspace, rather than only reading once.
- First customers
- Small engineering teams of 3 to 15 developers who already use two or more AI coding agents and hit usage limits.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News: Show HN with a free local converter for Claude Code and Codex sessions, building on the discussions of session switching.
- GitHub: Open-source the format readers so developers can add agents, and link to the hosted team features.
- Developer communities: Post in agent-specific forums and Discords where people discuss usage limits and switching.
- First milestone
- Five small teams paying for shared workspaces within 60 days of releasing the free local converter.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedCursor's pricing page lists 2 paid plans, from $20 to $40 a month, plus a free plan and prices on request for larger customers

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalSession formats are undocumented and can change with any agent update, so converters may break and need constant upkeep.
- PlatformAgent vendors could add their own import or export, or block reading local files, which removes the reason to use a third party.
- DataSessions may contain secrets and private code. A leak from sharing would end trust, so redaction and encryption must work from day one.
- CommercialDevelopers may see portability as a one-off need and pay little. Team sharing is the likelier paid feature and needs testing.
- TechnicalAgents differ in how they hold thinking and tool calls, so some context cannot carry over exactly and the handoff may behave differently.
