About this appAI proposal
Sunwatch Quiet connects to your solar system through the maker's data access, reads production every day and compares it with what your system normally makes. If output falls or stops, you get an email within days, not months.
It is built for homeowners and small businesses who do not want to open a manufacturer portal to find out if something broke. You get one calm email when something is wrong. No daily noise.
It is independent of the manufacturer and installer, so it does not depend on their alerts working. Some brands limit third-party access, so supported brands are added one at a time and listed openly.

- Why this name
- Sun for the source, watch for the job, quiet for the promise of few alerts.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Daily production check
Pulls your system's output once a day and stores it, so you keep your own history outside the manufacturer portal.

Drop detection within days
Compares recent output with your own normal range and flags sustained drops or zero production, not one cloudy day.

Alerts only when it matters
One email per problem, with what changed and since when. No repeat nagging until the situation changes.

Zero-output watch
A system that went fully silent is treated as urgent and reported first.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.
If it makes
Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Owners send the outage report link to their installer or manufacturer support, who see the product's name on the page.
- Do they become customers?
- Installers who see reports could become customers or partners, but a one-time link view brings none by itself. Test whether installers ask for the tool or recommend it.
- First customers
- Residential owners of one supported inverter brand who post about missed outages in owner forums.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and forums: Reply where owners discuss outages and offer free early access.
- Solar owner communities: Offer the free tier in brand-specific owner groups and subreddits.
- First milestone
- Fifty free signups on one brand and ten paying Plus customers within three months.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformSome manufacturers restrict third-party access or change their APIs, which could block or break a brand's integration.
- TechnicalTelling a real fault from weather, shading or seasonal change needs tuning, or alerts will be wrong or missed.
- CommercialOwners may not pay for something that stays silent when all is well; free users may not convert.
- DataHolding access tokens to people's energy systems needs strong security and clear consent.
