About this appAI proposal
Tideway is a browser-based query workspace for people who work with more than one kind of database. Connect PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and others in one place, sign in once, and run queries without switching tools.
Every query is written to a single audit trail your team can search. An assistant drafts queries from plain-language questions and shows its work before anything runs, so you can read, edit and approve it.
It is for developers and database administrators who today keep a separate client, login and log for each system. Tideway gives them the same workflow across all of them.

- Why this name
- A tideway is a channel where many currents meet and move together, like many databases flowing through one workspace.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Many databases, one workspace
Open relational, document and key-value connections as tabs side by side, with one editor and one result view.

Single sign-on
Team members sign in once through your identity provider. Access to each connection follows their role.

PricingAI proposal
The material gives no competitor prices. It does say a similar open-source tool includes SSO, audit trail and AI features at no cost, so these tiers are a starting point to test.

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. A teammate is invited to a shared workspace to use saved queries and connections, and sees the same audit log and access roles.
- Do they become customers?
- Invited teammates are developers and DBAs who can become paying seats. Test whether invites convert from the free tier to Team.
- First customers
- Engineering teams of 5 to 30 people running PostgreSQL plus MongoDB or Redis in production, led by a platform or DBA lead.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and open-source forums: Post comparisons and migration guides where users of multi-database tools ask questions.
- Developer communities: Share walkthroughs of audit and read-only workflows in database and DevOps groups.
- First milestone
- Ten teams connect two or more engines, and three pay for Team within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialA free open-source tool already offers SSO, audit and AI features, so paying customers need a clearly easier hosted experience.
- TechnicalSupporting many engines means many drivers and edge cases; a first version should cover a few well.
- DataHolding production database credentials and query results makes security review a barrier to adoption.
- AIGenerated queries can be wrong or costly; review steps and read-only defaults must be strict.
- PlatformDatabases in private networks need a secure tunnel or agent, which adds setup work.
