Desktop app: Teams configure model aliases, monitor retirements, and review usage dashboards and spend analysis—technical backend work best done at a desk with full visibility of tables and settings. Sample screens on a computer, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Steadyport is an LLM gateway for teams that run production features on model APIs. Your app calls one endpoint with an alias you name, such as support-fast. You choose which provider and model sit behind it, and we keep it answering.
When a provider announces a retirement, Steadyport warns you early, shows how a replacement behaves on your own saved prompts, and moves the alias only when you approve. If a provider ends your access, traffic fails over to a backup you already tested.
It is for founders and engineering leads who built on a single provider and were hurt by a sudden termination. You keep your code and prompts. The provider underneath can change without a rewrite.

- Why this name
- A port is where ships keep arriving whatever the weather. Steady says the promise: stable access, with no surprise endings.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Named model aliases
Your app calls an alias. You decide which provider and model sit behind it, and you can change that without a deploy.

Retirement watch
We track provider deprecation notices and warn you per alias, with the date and what is affected.
No member yet
Replay before you switch
Re-run saved real prompts against a candidate model and compare outputs, latency and cost side by side.
No member yet
Automatic failover
Set an ordered list of backups per alias. If the primary refuses or is terminated, traffic moves on.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.
If it makes
Worth about
$190,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Steadyport runs behind customers' products, so end users do not see it. It reaches new teams through content on model deprecations, developer communities and direct outreach.
- Do they become customers?
- Test whether teams hit by a termination will pay for prevention before the next one. Exposure inside products would not bring buyers, so sales and content must carry it.
- First customers
- Small startups and engineering leads of 5 to 50 people who run customer-facing features on one fast-inference LLM provider and were hit by a model retirement.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and dev forums: Post a practical write-up on surviving model retirement, and answer threads about forced migrations.
- Direct outreach: Message founders who publicly complained about terminated models and offer a free alias setup.
- Open checklist: Publish a free deprecation-readiness checklist that leads to the Starter tier.
- First milestone
- Ten teams routing live traffic through Steadyport, and three paying for Team within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialPromising long-term availability depends on upstream providers. If all backups retire a model, Steadyport cannot keep it alive, so terms must be worded carefully.
- TechnicalProviders differ in output style, tool calling and limits. Failover may change behavior, so replay testing has to be good enough to trust.
- PlatformProviders may restrict resale or proxying under their terms. Bring-your-own-key use lowers this but needs legal review.
- DataSaved prompts and outputs may hold customer data. Storage, retention and provider data terms must be handled before launch.
- CommercialEvidence is a single discussion thread about one provider. Demand across other teams is unproven and must be tested.
