About this appAI proposal
Keepfile is a personal archive for people who pay for AI design and code generation tools. You save snapshots of projects, prompts, outputs and exports while you still have access, so cancelling or switching plan does not mean losing your work.
It also keeps a plain ledger of your subscriptions and credits: what you were given, what expires and when, and what a plan change would cost you. You see the risk before you cancel, not after.
Keepfile never ties your files to an active plan. Your archive stays yours, and you can export all of it at any time.

- Why this name
- Keep says what it does: you keep your work. File is the thing people fear losing. Two plain words joined.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Project snapshots
Save exports, screenshots, code bundles and prompt history for each project. Every snapshot is dated, so you can see how the work developed.

Credit ledger
Log credits, bonuses and compensation with their expiry dates. Keepfile shows what will lapse, and when, across all your tools.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Users send read-only snapshot links to clients and teammates. The page shows the project, the date saved and a small Keepfile mark with a link to start an archive.
- Do they become customers?
- Viewers are often designers or developers who pay for the same tools and could become customers. Test how many share-link viewers click through and open an archive.
- First customers
- Freelance designers and indie developers who pay monthly for two or more AI design or code generation tools and deliver the output to clients.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and Reddit threads: Join discussions about losing access after cancelling. Offer the free export and credit ledger to people who raise it.
- Designer and indie dev communities: Post a short guide to saving projects before cancelling, with Keepfile as the tool in it.
- First milestone
- Twenty freelancers save projects, and five of them pay for Keeper within 60 days of launch.
Why people already pay for this

- Public claimUsers lose access to projects and past sessions when they unsubscribe from AI design subscription services.
- Public claimThis is unusual behavior compared to other LLM applications, which typically preserve past sessions across subscription changes.
- Public claimTime-limited credits given as compensation are lost when subscription plans end, and resubscribing does not recover them.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformThe tools have no known public APIs for projects or credits. Snapshots rely on manual upload or paste, which may feel like work and could clash with a tool's terms.
- CommercialPeople may only care after losing access. Habit of saving before cancelling must form, and the free tier may satisfy most users.
- DataUsers store client work and prompts. Storage, deletion and privacy need clear handling, and a breach would be costly.
- TechnicalReading receipt emails from many formats is error-prone, so the ledger needs easy manual editing.
- Intellectual propertySaved outputs may carry licence limits set by the source tool. Share links could spread work the user may not freely redistribute.
