About this appAI proposal
Tendwell is a web app for people who run several small subscription apps, alone or with a few contractors. It puts every app's open fixes, store reviews, platform update deadlines and cancellations on one board, so you can see which app needs work this week.
You log what each contractor is doing, link each task to the complaint or cancellation reason that caused it, and watch whether churn moves after the fix ships. Work stops being a pile of tickets and becomes a short list tied to subscribers kept.
It is not a code editor or a build service. It is the upkeep layer between your apps and the people maintaining them, meant to cut the hours spent chasing status across threads and spreadsheets.
- Tagline
- Keep every app you run in good shape, without the status chasing.

- Why this name
- To tend is to look after something steadily; well is both a good state and a source. Two plain syllables that say upkeep done properly.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Owners send contractors private task links for one app. Contractors see Tendwell's name and may use it for their other clients. Weekly digests can also be forwarded to partners or buyers.
- Do they become customers?
- Contractors who open a link are often portfolio owners' staff, but may not pay. Test whether contractors with several clients start their own paid account after receiving links.
- First customers
- Solo owners of 3 to 10 small subscription apps who use one or two outsourced developers, including people who buy apps on marketplaces and keep them running.
- Where to reach them
- Indie app maker communities: Post a free cancellation-theme worksheet in forums and groups where owners discuss churn, and offer a trial board.
- Business marketplace buyers: Reach buyers of app businesses through broker newsletters and listings communities with an upkeep checklist.
- Direct outreach to freelancers: Offer contractors a free handoff link tool they can bring to clients managing several apps.
- First milestone
- Ten portfolio owners each run two apps on Tendwell for a month, and at least five pay $19 a month.
Why people already pay for this

RisksAI inference
- CommercialThe material shows a market where businesses sell, not that portfolio owners will pay for upkeep tooling. Many may manage fine with spreadsheets and chat. This needs direct demand testing.
- DataWithout store or billing integrations, users must import data by hand, which can reduce use. Store APIs have their own access rules and limits.
- AITheme grouping can mislabel short or mixed-language feedback and lead to wrong fixes. Users need to edit themes and see the source text.
- CommercialThe audience is narrow. Owners of five or more apps are few, and churn from them may be high if they sell or shut down apps.
- PlatformStore policies and API changes could limit review or subscription data access, weakening the before-and-after churn view.
