About this appAI proposal
Tidyhour is a time tracker and invoicing app for freelancers and small teams who bill by the hour. Start a timer on a project, log time by hand, and turn approved hours into an invoice in a few taps. It installs as a web app on phone and desktop.
Invoices can be issued as structured e-invoices for Peppol-based exchange, so clients who require them can receive them. Every project, entry and invoice can be exported at any time in open formats, so you are never stuck.
Time, projects and invoices live in one place, the price is meant to sit at or below what Clockify and Toggl list, and leaving costs nothing.

- Why this name
- Tidy and hour say it plainly: tidy records of billable hours. Two common words, easy to say and spell.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
One-tap timer
Start, stop and switch projects from the home screen. A running timer survives closing the app and shows on every device.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Each invoice sent to a client carries a small Tidyhour link on the PDF and the invoice view page, with a client-facing page to view, check status and download the e-invoice.
- Do they become customers?
- Clients who open an invoice are often freelancers or small firms who also bill hours, so some could become users. Test how many click through and sign up from invoice links.
- First customers
- Solo freelance developers and designers in the EU who bill hourly and have clients asking for e-invoices.
- Where to reach them
- Freelancer communities: Post in freelance forums and subreddits with a free e-invoice checklist and an invite to the free tier.
- Open-source alternative lists: Get listed where people compare Clockify and Toggl alternatives, stressing export and low price.
- Accountant referrals: Offer bookkeepers a free account to recommend to freelance clients who need compliant invoices.
- First milestone
- Twenty free signups send a real invoice, and five of them pay for Solo within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- RegulatoryE-invoicing rules differ by country and change. A first version may cover only one or two jurisdictions, and wrong tax fields could get invoices rejected.
- CommercialClockify and Toggl both offer free plans. Free-plan users may not pay, and the open-source interest in the material may not turn into paying customers.
- PlatformPeppol sending depends on a third-party access point, which adds per-document cost and a dependency on that provider.
- TechnicalReliable timers across devices and offline sync can produce overlapping or duplicate entries if conflicts are handled poorly.
- Intellectual propertyThe name Tidyhour needs a trademark check before use, and the UI must not copy existing trackers.
