About this appAI proposal
Tallyline pulls your trades from your broker, works out your P&L, and sits beside each trade a short prompt: why did you take it, and did you follow your plan? You stop retyping fills into spreadsheets and spend the time on the part that improves results.
It is for active traders and investors who place many trades and want to see patterns in their own behaviour: which setups pay, which hours hurt, where size creeps up after a loss.
It runs in the browser as an installable app, with no self-hosting and no API keys to configure. Reflection suggestions are drafted by AI from your own notes and trades, and you can edit or ignore them.

- Why this name
- A tally is a running count, and a line is a chart line. Together they say: keep count of your trades and see the trend. Plain and easy to say.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Traders can share a read-only review or a P&L card with a mentor, trading group or community. The page carries the product name and a link to start a journal.
- Do they become customers?
- Viewers are often other traders and could sign up, but this is untested. Test how many shared-link visitors start a free journal and how many connect a broker.
- First customers
- Active retail day and swing traders using one popular broker, who now keep a spreadsheet journal and trade several times a week.
- Where to reach them
- Trading communities: Offer free journal setup in trader forums and Discord groups, and ask for feedback on the weekly review.
- Open-source trade journal users: Reach people following existing open-source journal repositories who want a hosted option without setup.
- Trading content creators: Give mentors free accounts so students can share reviews with them.
- First milestone
- Twenty traders connect a broker and keep a journal for four weeks, and five of them pay for the Trader tier.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformBroker coverage depends on third-party aggregators or broker APIs that may be limited, costly per account, or withdrawn. CSV import is the fallback.
- TechnicalMatching fills into trades is hard for options, partial fills and short sales. Wrong P&L would destroy trust quickly.
- RegulatoryStoring brokerage connections and trading data needs strong security. AI insights must not read as financial advice.
- CommercialEvidence shows developer interest in a repository, not proven willingness to pay. Free spreadsheets and broker tools are the alternative.
- AIAI reviews may state patterns the data does not support. Each claim must link to trades and sample sizes must be shown.
