About this appAI proposal
Lastcall Shelf lets independent food shops and small chains list surplus perishable items at a discount and have neighbours reserve and collect them. A shop posts a bundle or single item, sets a price and a pickup window, and sees reservations as they come in.
Shoppers browse nearby offers, pay in the app, and show a code at the counter. No delivery, no courier network, and no new hardware for the shop.
It is built for the owner who has ten minutes at closing time. Posting from a previous listing takes a few taps, and unsold items can drop in price automatically as the pickup window nears.

How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Each shop gets a public page and a share link for tonight's offers, posted to its window, social accounts and message groups. Neighbours who open it can reserve and then follow the shop.
- Do they become customers?
- Shoppers who reserve become users, but only shops pay. Test whether a shop's own customers following it brings other shops in the same street to sign up.
- First customers
- Independent bakeries and delis with one to three locations in a single mid-sized city, run by an owner who decides on tools alone.
- Where to reach them
- Walk-in visits: Visit bakeries near closing time, show a live listing for their shop, and set it up on the spot.
- Local business groups: Offer pilot spots through high-street associations and neighbourhood owner groups.
- First milestone
- Ten shops in one city each post offers at least three times a week for a month, and five of them pay.
Why people already pay for this

RisksAI inference
- CommercialA two-sided market needs shops and shoppers in the same area at once; thin supply in a neighbourhood makes the app feel empty.
- RegulatorySelling near-expiry food may fall under local food-safety and labelling rules that differ by place and need checking before launch.
- PlatformWeb push on iPhone needs the app installed to the home screen, which may lower alert reach.
- CommercialShops may see commission as a cost on already thin margins; the price of the Shop tier needs testing.
