ScreensConcept
Desktop app: Developers review detailed code timelines, diffs, and audit logs to understand and debug agent changes, which requires sustained analysis at a workstation. Sample screens on a computer, in the proposed brand. Their numbers are sample data.

About this appAI proposal
Rewindly keeps a timeline of what AI coding agents do to your files. Each change is saved with the prompt, the agent's stated reason, the files touched and any deletions, so you can answer why something happened and when.
Pick a bad moment and step back to it, or bisect through an agent session to find the step where a problem began. Undo one action without losing the work around it. Built for developers and small teams running Claude Code and similar tools.
Git records changes after a human commits. Rewindly records each agent step as it happens, including edits made between commits, and keeps the reasoning next to the diff.

- Why this name
- Rewind says what the product does: go back to an earlier moment. The ly ending keeps it short and easy to say.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Step-by-step agent timeline
Every file edit, creation and deletion is saved as a step, tied to the session and the prompt that caused it.

Why, next to the diff
Each step stores the agent's stated reason and the instruction it was following, so review does not rely on memory.

Session bisect
Mark one step good and another bad. Rewindly narrows to the first step that introduced the problem.

Deletion finder
Search for removed files or lines and see which step deleted them. Restore with one tap.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Users send read-only session timeline links to teammates, reviewers or auditors, who see the Rewindly name and the step-by-step view of what an agent did.
- Do they become customers?
- Reviewers are often developers who run agents themselves and could sign up. Test how many link viewers start a free account within 14 days.
- First customers
- Solo developers and teams of 2 to 10 engineers who run Claude Code daily on production repositories and need to review agent changes.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News: Post a Show HN follow-up in the agent version control discussion, with a free demo timeline.
- Developer communities: Share bisect and deletion-recovery walkthroughs in Claude Code forums and Discords.
- First milestone
- Fifty free installs and five paying teams using it on real agent sessions within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- PlatformAgent tools may add their own history or rewind features, or change hook formats, which could break capture or reduce the need for a separate layer.
- TechnicalReliable capture of every file change across tools, plus clean partial reverts when later steps conflict, is hard to get right.
- DataSnapshots may hold secrets or private code. Teams will want local-only or encrypted storage and clear retention controls.
- AIAn agent's stated reason may be incomplete or wrong, so the why shown could mislead reviewers unless labeled as the agent's own account.
- CommercialEvidence is public claims and one forum post. Developers may accept git alone, so willingness to pay is unproven.
