About this appAI proposal
Plainsketch is a visual builder for people who design but don't code. You lay out screens on a canvas, stack simple instruction blocks to say what each button or field does, and see the app run right there on the canvas. No separate preview window.
When it works, publish it with one click to a shareable web address. It is made for designers and small teams who want a simple interactive app, such as a form, calculator or small tracker, without hiring a developer or learning a language first.
Design, behavior and sharing live in one place, so you don't move between tools. Developers on your team can still open the logic and add custom code for the harder parts.

- Why this name
- Two easy words: draw plainly, then make it work. Short, pronounceable and not tied to any design or automation tool.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Shared outputs. Every published app is a live web link. Visitors see a small 'Made with Plainsketch' badge on free apps, which links to a page where they can copy the app and edit it.
- Do they become customers?
- Visitors are often designers or teammates of the maker, so some may become users. Test whether badge clicks turn into signups, and whether free users pay to remove the badge or add a domain.
- First customers
- Freelance product and UI designers at studios of 1 to 10 people who want to ship small client tools, like quote calculators and sign-up forms, without hiring a developer.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and Show HN: Share a demo of a design becoming a live app in minutes, and follow up with commenters who showed interest in this kind of tool.
- Designer communities: Post short build videos in design Slack groups and forums, offering free setup to the first 20 designers.
- Template gallery: Publish free remixable apps for common client needs and let designers copy and rebrand them.
- First milestone
- Ten freelance designers each publish a client-facing app, and at least five pay for a custom domain within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialEvidence of demand is one forum post with 93 points. Many no-code builders exist, so designers may stay with their current tools. Paid demand is untested.
- TechnicalA canvas that edits, runs and publishes in one place with a logic engine is hard to make fast and reliable. Scope must stay to simple apps.
- AIAI-generated layouts and logic may be wrong or hard to fix, and could frustrate non-developers if the blocks it creates are unclear.
- PlatformHosting user-made apps on shared infrastructure invites abuse such as phishing pages, so it needs moderation and rate limits.
- Intellectual propertyThe canvas and block approach resembles well-known design and automation tools. Interface and wording must stay clearly original.
