About this appAI proposal
Shelfhand is a progressive web app for warehouse operators who run stock in Odoo. It connects to your Odoo database and gives pickers, receivers and counters a simple phone screen for daily tasks: receive, put away, pick, pack and count.
It is built for small and mid-sized businesses where the office team lives in Odoo but the floor needs something faster than desktop forms. Supervisors see open tasks and stock by location, and ERP administrators set rules without writing a custom module.
Unlike a community addon you install and maintain for each Odoo version, Shelfhand sits beside Odoo and talks to it through its external API. This is a proposal: the material shows interest in warehouse extensions, not what teams would pay for this.

- Why this name
- A shelf hand is the person who keeps stock moving. The name is two plain words, easy to say on a loud floor.

Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Guided picking routes
Pick lists are ordered by location so operators walk one path. Tap or scan to confirm each line and flag shortages on the spot.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Partners and integrations. Listing Shelfhand where Odoo users and partners look, such as the Odoo app store and partner networks. Implementation partners can set it up for each client they already serve.
- Do they become customers?
- Partners and admins who find it can become paying customers directly. Test whether Odoo partners will resell it and whether warehouse teams pay for it on top of their Odoo plan.
- First customers
- Small distributors and light manufacturers with one warehouse and 5 to 20 staff, already on Odoo and run by an ERP admin.
- Where to reach them
- Odoo implementation partners: Offer a free pilot to small Odoo partners so they can put it in front of their warehouse clients.
- Odoo and OCA forums: Answer warehouse questions and show a short demo video of phone picking on a real Odoo database.
- First milestone
- Five paying warehouses on Odoo, each with at least three operators using it weekly for a month.

RisksAI inference
- TechnicalOdoo versions and customised databases differ. The connector may break on custom fields, or on stock models that change between releases.
- PlatformOdoo could improve its own mobile warehouse tools, or restrict external API access on hosted plans, which would remove the gap.
- CommercialTeams may already be served by free community addons or by their Odoo partner, and may not pay for a separate subscription.
- DataWrite-back errors, such as double-posted moves after an offline sync, could corrupt stock counts. Conflict handling needs careful testing.
