About this appAI proposal
Tallyfile is a warranty tracker for people and small businesses that own many things: appliances, electronics, vehicles, tools. Log each asset once, attach the receipt, and enter the coverage end date. Tallyfile reminds you before it runs out.
It replaces the shoebox of receipts, the email search and the scattered notes. Everything about an asset sits on one page, so when something breaks you can see whether it is still covered and find the proof of purchase.
It is built to be simple and to leave you in control of your data: export everything at any time, and share with family or a teammate only when you choose.

- Why this name
- A tally is a simple count kept over time. Tallyfile suggests a tidy file of what you own and when its coverage ends.

$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. A household or small team shares one asset list. Members invited to view or edit it create accounts and then see Tallyfile, and may start their own lists.
- Do they become customers?
- Invited family members and colleagues can become free users, but whether they pay is untested. Test how many invitees add their own assets within 30 days.
- First customers
- Small property managers and owners of small trades businesses with 20 to 200 pieces of equipment, who currently keep receipts in folders and email.
- Where to reach them
- Trade and landlord forums: Offer a free equipment-expiry import and audit to members of local landlord and tradesperson groups.
- Search content: Publish guides on how to claim a warranty and find lost receipts, linking to a free tier.
- Direct outreach: Email small property managers offering a free setup of their asset list in return for feedback.
- First milestone
- Ten small businesses each load 20 or more assets, and five of them pay for the Business tier within 60 days.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialMany people only need a warranty once in years. They may stay on the free tier, so paid conversion is untested.
- PlatformPush notifications on iOS web apps are limited and need installation. Email must remain a dependable backup.
- DataStored receipts hold personal and purchase data. Secure storage, deletion and export are required from day one.
- CommercialFree apps, spreadsheets and phone notes already cover simple cases. The material names no competitors, so the gap is unverified.
