About this appAI proposal
Linkfill is an API that takes a URL, including a social media profile link, and returns structured fields: name, headline, bio, location, links and avatar. Use it to prefill profile forms and enrich records in your own product.
Every field comes back with a status: found, partial or unavailable. When a source cannot be read, you get a clear reason, not a silent empty value. Your form can then ask the user only for what is missing.
It is for product teams whose weak spot is retrieval from social media URLs. A check history shows success rates per source, so you can measure reliability instead of guessing.
- Tagline
- Profile data from any link, with an honest status on every field.

- Why this name
- A URL goes in and form fields get filled. Two plain words, easy to say, and the name states the job. A trademark check is still needed.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Structured profile fields
Send a URL, get a fixed JSON shape: name, headline, bio, location, avatar and links.

PricingAI proposal
Verified: Exa's pricing page lists a free plan, paid plans with prices on request, and custom prices for larger customers. The material gives no competitor prices, so these tiers are a starting point to test.

What it could be worthEstimate
What a software business making this much sells for today, from real deals. Pick a monthly revenue.

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- No loop in the product. Developers find it through search, docs and comparison content, then integrate the API. End users of customer products never see Linkfill, so use does not bring new customers by itself.
- Do they become customers?
- Acquisition runs through content, developer communities and direct outreach. Test whether teams with social profile prefill will move traffic after a side-by-side trial on their own URLs.
- First customers
- Small product teams (2 to 15 engineers) at SaaS companies with onboarding or profile forms that prefill from a user's social profile link.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and dev forums: Post a reliability comparison on social profile URLs and invite teams to run their own list.
- Direct outreach: Message engineers at products with profile prefill, offering a free trial run on 500 of their URLs.
- Docs and SEO content: Publish guides on prefilling forms from profile links, each with working API examples.
- First milestone
- Five teams run a trial on their own URLs, and at least two move live traffic and pay within 60 days.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedExa sells paid plans with prices on request, on its own pricing page, plus a free plan and prices on request for larger customers
- Public claimTeam uses Tabstack's structured data endpoints to retrieve URL content for filling profile form fields
- Public claimTabstack is more reliable than Exa at retrieving content from social media URLs

RisksAI inference
- PlatformSocial platforms may block automated access or change page structure, which is the very reliability problem this product claims to solve.
- RegulatoryCollecting personal profile data brings privacy law and platform terms issues. Public-only data, clear use rules and legal review are needed before launch.
- CommercialThe only market claims are one public comment and Exa's pricing page. Willingness to switch providers is unproven.
- TechnicalProxy and headless browser costs may eat margins at low per-request prices, especially with no charge for empty results.
- AIA model fallback may invent field values. Output must be checked against page text before it is marked found.
Everything marked AI proposal or AI inference was written by a model from the evidence on the opportunity page. The proposed name must be checked against trademark registers before it is used.
