About this appAI proposal
Cleanpull is a control room for web extraction that runs on your own infrastructure. You run a small runner in your cloud or on a laptop. It fetches pages, crawls sites and turns them into clean text or structured JSON for LLM input. Cleanpull is the app you use to manage it from any device.
It is for AI engineers and small product teams who pay per request for hosted scraping APIs, or who run open-source crawlers by hand with no shared view of jobs, schemas and failures. Page content stays on your machines. Only job metadata and settings sync.
Each runner speaks CLI, REST and MCP, so agents and scripts call it the way they already call other tools. You pay for the team console, not per page.

- Why this name
- Two plain words: clean output, and pulling pages from the web. It says what the tool does without naming a technique or a vendor.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Runs on your infrastructure
One runner image you host. Page content stays on your machines; the console stores only job status and settings.

Output shaped for models
Choose clean markdown, a JSON schema you define, or both. Menus, banners and boilerplate are stripped before output.

CLI, REST and MCP in one runner
Point an agent at the MCP endpoint, a script at the REST API or a shell at the CLI. One config, one set of keys.

Schema builder with test runs
Sketch the fields you want, run them on a sample URL and see what came back before you save the schema.

PricingAI proposal
Verified pages show hosted rivals from $19 to $99 a month at entry (Firecrawl, Apify, Browserbase) and $49 for ScrapingBee. Tiers are a starting point to test, priced by console seats, not pages.

How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Partners and integrations. The runner is listed in MCP server directories and agent framework guides. Developers who install it for an agent find the console through the runner's setup link and status page.
- Do they become customers?
- Runner users are the same developers who would buy console seats, so exposure can convert. Test how many free runner installs add a second teammate or upgrade within 30 days.
- First customers
- AI engineers at startups of 2 to 20 people who already pay a hosted scraping API monthly and feed pages to agents or RAG pipelines.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and MCP directories: Publish the runner and an MCP listing with a setup guide; offer the console as the upgrade.
- Hacker News and dev communities: Share a cost comparison and benchmark write-up for self-hosted versus per-request extraction.
- Direct outreach: Message teams who publicly discuss scraping API bills and offer a free migration walkthrough.
- First milestone
- Ten teams run a runner for 30 days and five pay for Team, showing console seats earn money without per-page fees.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialFree open-source crawlers are popular (Crawl4AI's site claims 71,073 stars). Teams may see no reason to pay for a console on top, so willingness to pay for team features must be tested.
- TechnicalReliable extraction on JavaScript-heavy and protected sites is hard. The runner may fall short of hosted services, and blocks depend on each customer's IP reputation.
- RegulatoryCustomers scrape third-party sites. Terms of service, copyright and data protection rules vary, and the product needs clear usage guidance and respect for robots rules.
- PlatformAnti-bot vendors and site owners can change defences at any time, forcing constant runner updates.
- TechnicalSupporting runners across many customer environments (Docker, Kubernetes, laptops) raises support and version-compatibility costs for a small team.
