About this appAI proposal
Meshdesk is a web console for teams who run their own ZeroTier controller. Connect one or more controllers, then manage networks, members, routes and rules from one dashboard instead of the command line or config files.
Invite colleagues, group them into organizations, and give each person a role. One organization cannot see another's networks, so a managed-service team or a large company can share one controller safely.
It is built for administrators who self-host for control and privacy. It runs as a PWA, talks to your controller through its API, and keeps a record of who changed what.

- Why this name
- Mesh is the kind of network being managed; desk is the shared place where a team works on it. Two plain words, easy to say.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Multiple users per controller
Invite teammates by email. Everyone signs in with their own account instead of sharing one controller token.

Role-based permissions
Owner, admin, operator and viewer roles, scoped to an organization or to a single network.

Worth about
$194,000
Sale range $132,000 to $263,000
$120,000 a year in revenue
From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Users invite others. An admin invites teammates and colleagues from other departments or client organizations into their own organization. Each invitee signs in to Meshdesk to approve devices or view networks.
- Do they become customers?
- Invitees are often other admins at the same company, so some may become buyers. Test whether invited operators or client-side admins start their own controllers or upgrade a plan.
- First customers
- Small IT and managed-service teams of 2 to 10 people who self-host one ZeroTier controller and share it across several clients or departments.
- Where to reach them
- GitHub and self-hosting forums: Answer questions on multi-user controller management in ZeroTier-related repositories and self-hosting communities; offer a free tier.
- Homelab and DevOps communities: Post a short demo and a how-to for connecting a controller in subreddits and community chats.
- Direct outreach to MSPs: Contact managed-service providers who run private networks for clients and offer a pilot.
- First milestone
- Five teams connect a real controller and three of them pay for the Team plan within 60 days of launch.
Why people already pay for this
- VerifiedGitHub repository gained 1254 stars in 1294 days
- Public claimRepository has been actively developed and adopted, with 1254 stars and 127 forks on GitHub, indicating meaningful community interest in a web UI for private ZeroTier controllers.
- Public claimThe project explicitly addresses multiuser and organization management, features absent from ZeroTier's default tooling, indicating a recognized gap in the market.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialSelf-hosting admins may prefer free open-source tools. The existing GitHub project suggests interest, but willingness to pay is unproven.
- PlatformThe product depends on the ZeroTier controller API. Changes to it or to ZeroTier's licensing could break features or limit what can be sold.
- TechnicalReaching controllers on private networks needs a connector or agent. This adds setup steps and support work.
- DataStoring controller tokens makes the service a high-value target. A breach could expose customers' whole networks.
- Intellectual propertyThe name needs a trademark check, and the product must not suggest it is made or endorsed by ZeroTier.
