About this appAI proposal
Depthway is a framework-agnostic library that makes zooming the way people move through your web app. Each view lives at a place on a canvas. When the user zooms in, the view mounts. When they zoom out, it unmounts. The current zoom path is part of the URL, like a route.
It is for web developers and small teams who want zoom as a primary navigation model, not a slide deck. Today the choices are a closed presentation platform or an open slide library that renders every step up front and has no navigation state, according to public comments in the source discussion.
Motion is set up for comfort: you can cap speed, use fades instead of long sweeps, and respect reduced-motion settings. A hosted layout editor and a template pack are paid add-ons. The core library stays open.

- Why this name
- Depth is what zoom navigation adds to a route. Way says it is a path through an app, not a slide show.
In the first version
Members say which features they would use. It tells PWAS what people want; it changes no score.
Zoom routes
Declare views at positions and scales. Zooming into one navigates to it, and back/forward and deep links work as in any router.

Mount on arrival, unmount on exit
Views load lazily as the user zooms toward them and are released when they leave. Nothing is pre-rendered in the DOM.
No member yet
Zoom depth state
Read and set the current depth, the path of parent views and the focus point from hooks or plain events.

Comfort controls
Speed caps, crossfade transitions, and automatic reduced-motion fallback to a simple cut, so motion is less likely to make people unwell.

From 87 software businesses listed and sold on Empire Flippers in the last year, revenue vetted by the broker: they sell for about 19× their monthly revenue, most between 13× and 26×.
Measured on profit, the middle deal is 32× monthly net profit: about 2.7 years of profit.
An estimate, not an offer or financial advice. A real price depends on profit, growth, churn, how much of the work is the owner's, and the buyer.
How it would growAI proposal
How the product would reach new customers through its own use, and how the first ones would be found. A plan to test, not a result.
- Built-in loop
- Visible inside customers’ products. Apps built with Depthway can show a small optional 'Built with Depthway' mark in the free tier, linking to docs and live demos. Open-source repos and demos also spread it.
- Do they become customers?
- Visitors to those apps are mostly end users, not developers. Test whether the mark and public demos lead developers to install the library, and whether any of them then pay for the editor.
- First customers
- Front-end developers at small product teams building data-heavy dashboards or map-like tools who want depth-based drill-down instead of nested pages.
- Where to reach them
- Hacker News and Show HN: Post a live demo of a drill-down dashboard, with the repo, answering the motion-sickness and routing questions in comments.
- Front-end communities: Share example apps and a how-to in React and Svelte forums and newsletters.
- GitHub templates: Publish starter templates so developers can try zoom routes in minutes.
- First milestone
- 500 GitHub stars and five teams paying for Studio or Team within 90 days of the first release.

RisksAI inference
- CommercialOpen-source core may give away what teams would pay for. Demand for zoom as app navigation beyond presentations is only suggested by one discussion thread.
- TechnicalSmooth zoom with lazy mounting across browsers and low-end phones is hard; layout jumps or dropped frames would defeat the comfort promise.
- CommercialZoom navigation can confuse users and hurt accessibility or SEO unless the keyboard, outline and deep-link paths are good.
- PlatformFramework adapters must track React, Vue and Svelte releases, which adds ongoing maintenance for a small team.
